Meet Nate DeCoste
I live in the Pacific Northwest and I hold a BS from Corban University and am completing my graduate studies at Grace Bible Theology Seminary. The areas of study I am passionate about are Theology, Logic, Biblical Apologetics, Writing, History, and Literary Studies.
In addition to teaching at VSA, I serve as the Family Pastor at Lake Bible Church in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and as President of a Christ-centered sports league called Kids of Grace Sports.
With a background in student and children’s ministry and education, I have spent nearly two decades cultivating environments where young people can learn and thrive—whether at church, in the classroom, or on the field.
Bringing a thoughtful and gospel-centered approach to education, my goal is to not only equip students with knowledge, but to help them gain wisdom and stir their passion for Christ.
Ultimately, my heart lies with spending time with my wife and four kids. I also love writing, playing sports, and being active outdoors.
Christian Sports League
Learning how to play sports is important for many families. Besides skills, sports players are taught valuable lessons in teamwork, cooperation, and graciousness. For some Christian families, the time commitment and/or behavior of the members of a traditional sports league do not align with their family values. KG Sports can fill an important desire for Christian families who want their children to play sports but not let sports and the sports culture overtake family time and family values.
